While in the early days of UNIFILL most applications were for cosmetics, pharmaceutical and chemical products, most of today's machines are manufactured for the food industry.
Following the great success of processed cheese lines, UNIFILL developed new food applications and the technology is nowadays applied to a wide range of food products in basically two main categories:

• Liquid or semi-dense products such as drink yoghurt, fromage frais, creamy desserts, sauces, concentrated juices, chocolate cream, condensed milk, etc., that are filled into squeezable packs.
• Products that are filled as liquids and later solidify, such as processed cheese, butter, jams, fruit jellies, hard chocolate, water lollies, etc., that are packed into peelable ‘oyster packs'

Options such as Stick Applicators or Cap Applicators.

Besides these main applications, a great variety of other food products such as spread patés, olive oil, vinegar, ketc.h-up, mustard, fruit purees, spirits, etc., can be packed in UNIFILL monodoses, thus making the system extremely attractive also for catering industries and food contract-packers.

While the key technical advantage of the Unifill technology is certainly the high flexibility, the real marketing plus is the possibility to give your product the shape you want. Especially if you consider that most of our food products are aimed at children !

The tooling can be replaced quickly and so can the shape of your product, thus offering you the possibility to easily launch new products as well as re-styling existing products by presenting them in an innovative packaging with attractive shapes and nice colours.

By using a differently printed film, you have the possibility to change completely the image of your product in a very simple and cost effective way while, by replacing the forming moulds, also the shape of the product can be changed. Therefore, you can have a cheese portion in the shape of a shark in the summer, of a popular cartoon character while a famous TV series is broadcast, of a newly launched sport car, or you can produce a fruit jelly portion with the shape of an apricot or strawberry, etc.
Furthermore, the fact that you can easily vary the shape and the image also gives you the possibility to sell your products into collectable series.
Such features have proven to have a strong appeal in a marketplace that is highly influenced by young consumers as children represent, without any doubt, the most demanding category of end consumers.
